WebNov 11, 2009 · Hi there, I had my tonsils out 6 weeks ago and have tightness in my throat, feeling as a lump is there when there is not one, and a lot of times the symptoms are on one side. I have been to 3 different ENT's, including the one who did my surgery and they told me that it was scar tissue. They said it took 3-4 months for the scar tissue to soften.
