It's kind of a gray area,the concern is the mixing of oils,the pump will work on ATF,they are shipped with a minimal amount of fluid in them to prevent rusting i suppose,while it's probably not enough to mix with and hurt anything,i don't feel it's worth the chance of a $200 pump.

Take the lights apart and check and/or replace the grounds, wires inside the case take a lot of vibration and that can cause them to fail.Don't forget to check the bulbs to be sure they're good too.
