Webb13 apr. 2024 · This work investigates the equilibrium stage of the crack propagation of a fine-grained soil after several drying and wetting cycles (shrinkage and swelling hysteresis). This stage is found to be crucial in practical engineering since the soil continues to show its irreversible hydraulic settlement, which is a potential risk for some severe structural … Webb1 juni 2016 · Prosthetic subsidence was evaluated by measuring the distances “A” and “B” on 100% strict lateral views during the immediate postoperative period and at the final follow-up; “A” was defined as the length of the middle phalanx, including the implant, and “B” the length of the proximal phalanx, including the implant [8].
Webb4 maj 2024 · Subsidence has been noted with both cemented and uncemented stems in hip arthroplasty. On most occasions, it’s minimal (i.e. less than 2 mm) and stabilises at 1 year. However, when its progressive and significant, it causes loss of length and horizontal offset, and when symptomatic warrants a revision. Materials and methods: Webb25 feb. 2024 · The attached fixation structure of the 3D-printed prosthesis can be connected to the posterior fixation system, which provides good immediate stability and a low rate of subsidence. The average prosthesis subsidence at the final follow-up in our case series was 1.90 ± 2.05 mm, with a subsidence > 2 mm identified in 5/23 patients.
WebbGender: Female. Bilateral cemented total hip prosthesis. Ideally comparison would be made with previous films but note the steepness of the right acetabular cup compared to the more normal angle of approximately 50 0 to horizontal on the left. This may be due to poor positioning at the initial surgery or because the cup has rotated. WebbThe purposes of this article are to review current concepts of knee replacement, including features of traditional and newer prosthetic designs, materials, and surgical techniques; illustrate normal and abnormal postoperative imaging findings; and to relate the complications to current understanding of how and why these failures occur. …
